Band Bio

Since the 1992 emergence of Johnny Clueless onto the national music scene, the band has captured the attention of thousands with their unique blend of high energy performance and original songwriting.  The Minneapolis group, composed of singer/songwriter Steven Brown, guitarist Jon James, bassist Stacy Machula and drummer Eric Guse, has focused on developing their own brand of modern rock.

With four successful releases: 1994's debut "Kissed In Kansas," 1995's EP "Secrets Of The Universe," and 1996’s "Too Late, Too Loud", 1998's "What's Your Flavour?" the band has received widespread exposure on commercial radio stations across the country, as well as national television.

Early in the year 2000, Johnny Clueless received critical acclaim for their remake of the 1982 Soft Cell classic, "Tainted Love," from Billboard Magazine. The very popular track ignited America's airwaves for months and is now available on the re-issued, "What's Your Flavour?"

The past fourteen years have given the band a mature perspective of the industry before them.  The passion on their four releases speaks volumes about the band’s commitment to their own musical satisfaction and their motivation to persevere.
